Default Just finished my lighting controller

I really think this forum needs a DIY section. I just put together this 8 light controller together. It cost me roughly $75 not including the 10 gauge wire. I hook it up to my oven outlet and I am able to run all my lights off on timer. This one is going to be temporary. once summer rolls around I am going to have it dual zone so I can shut off half the lights if the temp goes to high.

I did the math and it only cost me 56 bucks this one. I just bought another contactor and a new main box to house the contactors an control components. All in all it cost me $90 for a dual zone 8 light box. It is way cheaper than any other 8 light set up. On top of the saving there really isn't anything on the market that will do what I want it to do.

Naw, as it says I didn't include the wiring. As pictured minus the $14 for the oven plug, plus the 10 gauge extension cord I hacked up cost 43.75. For an eight light controller that is not bad at all. I didn't include that in my cost because over 90% of controllers you find on the market do not include any cables. If you are close to an oven of dryer vent you can get power cords for 14 or 15 bucks on the bay. The $90 model I am working on adds another contactor, so my Growtronix system can turn off half the lights if my temp gets to high. That feature doesn't come into most peoples plans, but it can easily be set up with a high temp shut off to turn off one of the banks of lights. I love the wow factor when people see my setup an this will be one of them no doubt.
