How much cannabis seeds do you need to plant to avoid any violations?

There are different rules in different countries. check your local laws before starting to not get into troubles.

yes, but are there general numbers to not get in trouble? like one is only allowed to plant 5 marijuana plants etc.. dont want to check, they might get my ip or something lol!!

As Solo said there is no set amount. If you live in the States it is illegal to grow any under federal law so it comes down to state by state. Some states are total grey area on the number and others like Cali have SB420 which outlines minimums and lets counties goe up from there. I suggest checking out Norml's site. I also wouldn't worry much about your IP you are looking at something you are allowed to do I am assuming and making sure you are staying with in the law.
